And by louder, I mean more influential.
That's the mission of She Owns.
Much of what really matters in life isn't taught at school. How to negotiate your salary, what happens to your pension in a separation, how to start a business or how to use AI well. And everyday life is so full that hardly any of us has the time to get to grips with all of it. Nobody can know everything.
That's where She Owns comes in. My mission is to prepare knowledge so that you can use it directly in your everyday life: checked, with sources and so concrete that you know what to do next.
A few years ago, I was looking for a community of women and a mentor who was a few steps ahead of me. I found nothing. I simply didn't know where to look.
Today, I keep coming across amazing new women's networks and sometimes wonder:
How many other women are still searching?
Many of these communities exist in an empowerment bubble. From the inside, it feels huge, but from the outside, it’s barely visible. That’s because algorithms show content to those who are already interested. If you aren't already in the loop, you don't see them.
She Owns is for all women. Because we have so much more in common than we often think.
That's why She Owns is deliberately broad. Influence affects all of us, in our everyday lives.
What changes
There's now solid research on this. Three examples show that things don't just get fairer, they get better.
When there's one more woman on a local council, all the women there speak up more often afterwards, according to a study from Bavaria.
Baskaran and Hessami, 2019
Women in the US Congress secured about 9% more funding for their districts than men on average. Everyone who lives there benefits.
Anzia and Berry, 2011
Since Italy introduced a gender quota for the boards of listed companies in 2011, the people serving on them have been younger and better educated on average.

Led by women today, and top of the Global Gender Gap Index for 17 years running.
World Economic Forum, 2026
In 1906, it became the first country in the world to give women the right to vote and stand for election. Today, it ranks second.

What kind of world do you want for her? One where she negotiates just as well, is taken just as seriously and has just as much of a say as her brother?
Then this concerns you too, just as it concerns your partner, your mother and your colleague.
When more women are part of the conversation, you get a wider range of perspectives and ideas.
Women and men complement each other in the workplace. When more women work, productivity increases, which can also lead to higher wages for men.
When Sweden introduced a gender quota in politics, the men on the lists also became more competent.

And there's plenty more evidence:
We believe it’s worth it.

I grew up in Austria and studied linguistics in Münster. I've always been interested in who's speaking in a room and who's actually being heard. After that, I worked in communications agencies, and later at Deutsche Telekom and BMW in Munich.
Then came the multiple sclerosis diagnosis. Right in the middle of starting my first company, shortly after I'd bought two properties. I thought: I can’t manage all of this.
How would any of that work if I might soon be unable to walk?
I started therapy. And I kept going. I launched the “Founders Chronicles” podcast, left BMW and built my event agency faster than I ever thought I could.
I’m sharing this because I know what a diagnosis like that feels like at the beginning. If that's where you are right now: more is possible than you think.
In early 2026, I co-organised my first conference for women. I'm grateful that I was able to help bring this idea to life, and for the women I worked with to make it happen. It was an amazing feeling. And it showed me how much bigger I want to think about this topic.

May 2026, at the notary: She Owns GmbH is founded.
The phoenix is one of the oldest images of a fresh start: it burns up and rises again from its own ashes. I chose it for She Owns because that's exactly how my story has gone. I've had to start over more than once, and each time I rose a little further.
Whatever your life looks like, sooner or later you'll face a fresh start: after parental leave, after a breakup, with a new company or a new job. When that happens, I want you to have the knowledge and the women at your side that you need to make your own decisions. Every one of us who takes a step forward makes it easier for the next.
That's how one phoenix becomes a whole flock.
Knowledge is power.
To be visible is to have influence.
Alone, we go unheard. Together, we're loud.
We're no longer waiting for someone to ask us. We're speaking up for ourselves.
